After entertaining the viewers with a romantic teaser and a couple of foot-tapping numbers, the makers of Nithiin’s upcoming film Bheeshma have unveiled the theatrical trailer on YouTube. Directed by Venky Kudumula of Chalo fame, the film is not just a rom-com as it’s packed with high-octane action, interesting premise and a social message regarding organic crops.
The first half of the 2-minute long trailer showcases Nithiin as a frustrated youngster named Bheeshma who is eager to find his lady love. Eventually, he falls in love with Rashmika Mandanna’s character who happens to be an employee in his organic foods company.
Things turn serious with the introduction of Jisshu Sengupta who comes up with a chemical which can get the crops ready before time. As expected, war emerges between the two seed-making companies who want to revolutionise farming in rural India. While the protagonist’s group promotes organic methods of farming, the antagonist’s group opts for drug-enhanced crops which can produce results before time.
Malgudi Days fame Anant Nag is making a comeback to Telugu cinema with Bheeshma. While the music of the film is composed by Sagar Mahati, the cinematography is handled by Sai Sriram and editing by Navin Nooli. It is slated for a massive release on February 21.
